U Mollynoj srednjoj školi svi pokušavaju nadmašiti jedni druge u jedinstvenom izražavanju samih sebe, a šesnaestogodišnja Molly Maxwell pokušava biti nevidljiva jer ne želi da svi
vide da je obična. U školu dolazi mladi profesor engleskog, te dopušta Molly da se izrazi i da pokaže tko je zapravo, te ona procvjeta i otkrije svoj talent u fotografiji. Ubrzo se zbližava s mladim i zgodnim profesorom, i to prelazi granicu odnosa učenik-profesor.
